Fall Entertaining

We love the fall! It’s our favorite season here in San Diego. The weather is still beautiful during the day, the evenings bring some fall chill, soup is simmering on the stove, and football is on the television. We love changing up the decor in our homes and embracing the fall colors and darker nights. Recently we had a dinner party for some close friends and got to break out the fall decor early in the season. We started by choosing a theme of white, gold, and natural wood tones. Our main purchase was very inexpensive small white pumpkins and fresh white flowers from the local market. We sprayed some of the pumpkins gold and kept the others white to compliment the flowers and to balance the shiny gold tones in the rest of the decor. We found a great burlap table runner and wooden name tags both from the dollar bin at Target. We placed the table runner down the middle of the table, added the white and gold pumpkins, some deer antlers, seashells, rosemary sprigs, and the flowers bunched in small vases. We sprinkled some votives throughout the ensemble, and viola, center piece complete! To further the theme, we tied the wooden name tags around simple, white napkins and placed all the dinnerware on seagrass placemats.¬†We dusted off the china, crystal, and silver from the cabinet and used some amazing gold and white bubble glasses, which were vintage finds from Etsy. See below for how it all turned out!
